I’m Quita and early one May morning (a little after 1:00 am), God woke me up from a sound sleep with one word prominent in my mind, heart and soul – OkayShe. Immediately, my prayer was clarity. But, my answer was a vision. He had some important work to get done and it was my turn to contribute. All I know of the vision is that OkayShe is for every girl and woman that knows deep in her heart and spirit that her life is missing that intimate, loving, secure relationship with our Creator, our Father – God. I have no process I will follow in this blog. I just have what God puts in me to share with you. I have my story and I’ll share it along the way because it’s one full of heartbreak and triumphs; loses and wins; forgiveness and love; death and resurrection.
I’m not put together by any definition of the phrase and pray that you aren’t either (I mean God loves a saint, but He is always closest to the sinner because He wants the sinner’s burden!) I’ve committed some pretty serious sins and lived in fear and guilt and shame. I’ve also been forgiven of those sins and by the redemption of the blood of Christ, been blessed beyond my minds ability to comprehend.
I pray that as you take this journey with me, we grow in light, in awareness, in forgiveness, in compassion, in empathy, in perseverance, in joy, in hope, in faith and in love together. I want your stories. I want to pray with you, I want to pray for you. I want you to know that wherever you are in life right now, it is exactly where God needs you to be so He can do His work. Let’s go forward together with God leading the way. Initially, this will be uncomfortable and we’ll be awkward but then one day there will be a shift and it will not matter that we’re physical strangers sharing very real parts of who we are. What will matter is that our spiritual selves have united over the Glory of God that we’re able to see in the experiences of our lives.
