The Light Within

Beloved, whatever trouble(s) plagued you yesterday and followed you into today, continue in peace and perseverance and faith that the best is ahead! Not because you will be without hardships to face again; but, you will count joy in the Glory of God even as you are sharpened by your tribulations and overcome! We were never promised an easy life – the weakness of our flesh ensures that can never be a reality. God promises us over and over again that no matter what we experience, He loves us and is with us. His patience, His mercy, His forgiveness, His redemption, His restoration, His grace, and His favor is never far from us. Don’t give up. Don’t count yourself out. PRESS ON! You are closer to your joy than you comprehend.

The darkness only seems so vast because we’ve forgotten the light within.

“The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.” Revelation 21:23

“Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.” Luke 11:34-35

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine…let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
